Havanese Weird Trait

If you have ever had the privilege to own the frisky little dog breed known as the Havanese then you are likely familiar with this dog’s most unique and interesting trait:  For whatever reason, the little dog, a toy breed known for its feather fur and coat, is said to only eat food when in the same room as other dogs or people.  In fact, if a dog is in the middle of eating and his or master leaves the room in which the dog’s food dish lies the dog will stop chewing and follow her or his master to the next room, food in mouth, before he or she will resume eating.  Clearly, this is  a somewhat humorous and just plain endearing  behavior (which is innate and has nothing to do with havanese dog training) and is one that keeps small children and adults laughing together day after day and night after night in the homes of Havanese enthusiasts around the world.
