Giving Care and Respect at the Same Time

When I was a little girl, our church used to go to the extended care places and visit with the elderly and sing to them, read a book, or just visit.  I always enjoyed those visits so when I graduated high school, I decided that I wanted to look into cna careers.  I now have a job where I work in a place where I can talk to these wise people and even though I take care of them, I’ve learned so much more.  Some of them have a hard time having someone take care of them, but if you do it in caring way and with respect, they will be just fine.
