Music in different cultures
March 1, 2009 7:43 pm ArtsMusic from each culture has its own unique sound, and often times you can tell what country a song comes from just by the way it sounds, meaning what instruments were used and in what manner. Sometimes, songs from other cultures are the hardest ones for me to learn, even if I do have access to free guitar chords. Sometimes I feel like I would need my own different band to reproduce the feeling conveyed by some of those songs, there is really only so much you can do with a guitar. If I were to play something from India, for example, I would need a sitar or something.
